Gardening Application

• Apply a 1″ layer of straw pellets around plants and water to expand.
• This creates a crust that helps retain moisture and suppress weeds.
• Pellets can be mixed into soil or potting mixes for planters, garden boxes, and flower beds.
• Straw pellets are pH neutral and improve soil structure.
• Slugs do not like the texture and will not cross the pellets.
• Keep in mind pellets expand 3–4x when watered.

Stalls

• Use 6 x 40 lb bags for every 72′ x 72′ space.
• After approximately 7 uses, top up with 1 bag.
• This keeps the stall usable for months without needing a full strip-out.
• For complete clean-out: remove urine & manure. Material can be used in gardens, flower beds, or as mulch.

Trailers

• Apply a 1″ Layer of straw pellets to the bed of your horse trailer
• Captures urine before it hits floor mats.
• Pellets stay in place and do not blow around like wood shavings.

Chicken Coops

• Clean out the coop and add a 2″ layer of straw pellets.
• Scoop clumped areas as needed.
• Reuse bedding in garden or compost.
• Replace when ammonia odour appears.

Small Animal Bedding

• Highly absorbent
• Helps control odour
• Low dust for healthier air
• Compostable after use

Small Animal Litter

• Add a 1″ layer over existing litter during transition.
• Switch fully once your pet adjusts.
• Pellets break down over time while remaining absorbent.
• Clean out once ammonia smell appears.
• Used bedding can be discarded directly into gardens, lawns, or flower beds.
